Did you know that the #1 cause of injury and death for children is motor vehicle collisions?

Did you know that in Whatcom County we have a 98% car seat misuse rate?

Would you like to learn how to correctly install car seats and help reduce the misuse rate?

Car Seat Inspections Include
  • Inspection of infant, toddler and booster seats. It takes about 20 minutes to thoroughly inspect each car seat.
  • Recall information.
  • Adjustment of fit:
*The child in the car seat and the car seat in the car*
  • Missing Parts:
*Locking clips, harness adjusters slides, retainers*
  • Educational Materials.

Is your child ready for a seat belt?  Think Again!

Every child needs to be in a booster seat until the seat belt fits right. Typically, seat belts fit when a child is:
at least 4'9" tall about 8 years old about 80 pounds

New Washington State Law requires booster seats effective July 1, 2002.
